Report describing the uncertainty of parameters representing diffuse source losses and attenuation in process-based catchment nutrient models.
In addition, the derivation of a new class of purely empirical catchment models (‘empirical models') is described.
This provides empirical type yield (ETY) and empirical type concentration (ETC) parameters for modelling total nitrogen yields and concentrations in any catchment in New Zealand.
